Does Geralt Get Another Horse?

The Witcher series is a beloved RPG that has been around since 2007. It follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter, in his travels around the Continent. One of the staples of the series is Geralt’s horse, Roach. Roach is a constant companion for Geralt and provides a way for him to travel quickly and safely. But does Geralt ever get another horse?

Geralt’s Horse Roach

Geralt’s horse, Roach, made her first appearance in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. She is a white mare with a black mane, which is symbolic of Geralt’s own white hair. Roach is a loyal companion and is always with Geralt, making her a vital part of the game. Roach is a great way for Geralt to travel quickly and safely, and also provides a nice break when Geralt needs to take a break from the fighting and exploring.

Different Versions of Roach

Throughout the various games, Roach has undergone some changes. In The Witcher 3, Roach had a more realistic look, with her coat and mane looking much more realistic than in the previous games. In The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, Roach’s look was changed even further, giving her a more stylized, almost cartoonish look.

Does Geralt Ever Get Another Horse?

The answer to this question is both yes and no. In The Witcher 3, Geralt does not get another horse, as Roach is his one and only. However, in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine expansion, Geralt does get a new horse. This horse is called Sirus and is a black stallion with a white mane.

Geralt’s Relationship With Sirus

Though Geralt does get a new horse in Blood and Wine, the relationship between Geralt and Sirus is not as strong as the one between him and Roach. Sirus is a war horse that was trained for battle, and Geralt has to tame and train him in order to use him. Geralt and Sirus do eventually bond, but it takes a lot of work on Geralt’s part.

Conclusion

Though Geralt does get a new horse in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, he never truly replaces Roach. Roach has become an integral part of the series and is a symbol of Geralt’s travels and adventures. Even though Geralt does get a new horse, Roach will always be Geralt’s faithful companion.
